With over 300 original cycles, tandems and tricycles in the Pinkerton Collection, dating from 1852 to 1960, we can offer gents, ladies and children’s machines for Period and Costume or TV dramas and advertising / promotional purposes.

Where necessary, accessories may also be supplied, such as bells, lamps and baskets etc.

With many hires, we would recommend riding tuition for each cycle, as some require specific instruction to ensure both the safety of rider and care of the machine.

Rebuild Vintage Wheels, or Build New Wheels…

With a large selection of spokes always in stock, we are able to rebuild most wheelsets to their original specification. If you are looking to have a custom set built, then we can accommodate individual requirements.

Wheel Building Courses

We can offer one to one courses for anyone wishing to learn basic or the more complex patterns used in wheels. Starting with the basics of lacing of a wheel, tensioning and trueing.

Over the past 35 years, we have worked on many and varied cycles, ranging from the Velocipede (Boneshaker), High Bicycles (Ordinary or Penny Farthing), Solid and Pneumatic Safety Bicycles, through all decades up to the 1970’s.

We are able to fabricate any absent or damaged components to bring any cycle back to original specification and to a ride able condition, sourcing information and essential detail, from our original cycle catalogues.

Having worked on most of the major framesets, we understand how they were constructed…

With over 35 years knowledge of all designs of cycles from 1870 through to 2015, we can bring most frames or cycles back to a rideable condition. Using our extensive library of original catalogues, we can repair or build frames to your specification using authentic lugs and tubing, whilst incorporating modern improvement.

Having worked on most of the major framesets, we understand how they were constructed and are able to replace damaged tubes without destroying the workmanship of the original maker.

An additional service is to take a cherished frame and re-size it to your geometry, or upgrade it with modern braze-ons. Whether you’re looking for a competition, touring, winter or everyday use frame, we can discuss your requirements using ‘Old School’ components and modern geometry.
